I came up with the verse and chorus music for Babble on an 
acoustic guitar and soprano recorder in December of 2000.  
The words happened pretty much in one sitting with the 
exception of the bridge.  They were inspired by a throw away 
working title that we came up with for the song.  Later, Pat 
and I developed words for the bridge with a rhyming dictionary 
after Steven produced a chord progression that fit nicely.  
The words and music in the bridge have currently been scrapped 
in favor of vocal wahwahs and Pat's wonderful Sympathy for the 
Taxman solo.
