.mp3 listen to delirious
about Steve came up with the music for Delirious in December of 2001. The throw away title was inspired by a fever Steve was enjoying at the time. As usual we kept the title and I came up with words and a melody in the car outside of his house before a rehearsal 5 weeks later. Somewhere in between I came up with the major chords for the chorus. The chorus melody was Dave Bales inspired. "What would David do here?" The song started life as a rather moody piece which was friskied up once we developed it in a live practice setting. The recording process seems to have re-moodied the song.

words here we are undone and unaware and we believe that the truth will set us free it's a lie the sun lay burning in the sky looks like the truth but it's a lie here we are uptown and glory bound and we believe cancer is the enemy it's a lie the moon lay cooling in the sky looks like the truth but it's a lie
