Here are nearly all of the1960s photographs from this collection. They are all 3X3 so I can't provide sample pictures. Most of the shots seem to be of nature, home interiors, events etc. Nearly all of the boxes are full. Some of the boxes are labeled "Bam Rocks Motel 10/6/64", "Gloucester Harbor 10/64", "Harbor - Fall of 58", "Fish Boat Sunset - Sep 1958", "Christmas 1963", "Blairstown - October 1963", "Christmas 1964", "Summer of 63", "B-town, Williamsport - 1963."
This lot features 33 slides from a trip to Poland in 1969. This is the only batch of 1960s stubs from this collection that are in the 2x2 format. I'm guessing that the city views are of Warsaw. The samples are the "best of" so buyer beware.
16 photographs of some of the sites in Washington DC. Most likely a continuation from the previous lot. Most of the pictures seem to be from a visit to the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum.
21 more slides of some of the sites in Washington DC. Again, most likely a continuation from the two previous lots. Lots of pictures of what I think is Georgetown.
17 more slides of some of the sites in Washington DC. Again, most likely a continuation from the three previous lots. There are several pictures of a building being demolished taken from a room. A sign at the bottom right of the shot, sort of a "Coming Soon" sign, has the word "Cleveland" on it. The last shot of the TV is a crop from the previous photo.
144 slides from the early 1970s. Along with the obligatory Christmas, weddings and birthday party pictures, there are also photos from tips to Alaska and Florida. The "Man in Underwear Making Coffee" had a paperclip on the frame. Jean must have really wanted me to post this one. There are several shots per roll that are over-exposed or under-exposed. I have priced the lot accordingly.
Well over 300 slides from the late 1970s. Probably 400. Lots of pictures of Christmas, weddings and birthday parties. Also pictures of a 1977 Catholic event in a stadium, perhaps the Pope, and photos of mimes (This Is Spinal Tap should be mandatory viewing for anyone considering a career in the arts.) pulling on imaginary ropes and feeling invisible walls in a church. There are several shots per roll that are over-exposed or under-exposed. I have priced the lot accordingly.
